Ark. — A woman in Cleburne County says she saw a bipedal creature with a wolf head.
The 30-year-old dental worker, who provided a full name, contact information and specific location of the sighting but asked to remain anonymous, told Cryptozoology News she encountered the unusual being on June 15.
“I was driving home and had to stop and pull over to make a call,” she said about the daylight encounter. “I was talking on the phone when it seemed something dark was moving in the woods, in the corner of my eye on my right.”
The woman says she had to look at the creature a few times because it didn’t move at first.
“I couldn’t tell until it moved. It moved stealthily, on two feet, right by the edge of the woods. I think it was trying to cross the road but stopped when it saw me.”
She described it as a dark brown and gray wolf like creature with a few bear features.
“It was aged a bit and it seemed to know its surroundings. Kinda Bear to wolf like, but standing up walking, but it didn’t seem to be afraid. It just moved away, slowly like it was wanting something or searching… I think my vehicle must have spooked it, because it seemed to want to cross the road but couldn’t. It was very creepy and so I just pulled back on the highway and left and kept driving until I got myself under control,” she said.
The sighting reportedly lasted about three minutes but the eyewitness said she was not able to snatch a photograph or video.
“In the mean time I’m trying to take video of this thing and my phone kept exiting in and out of picture mode it seemed everything was working against me to not be able to film anything.”
She says she has heard about strange wolf like creatures before but that she never expected to actually seeing one.
“All I know it’s a big world and things can be in them woods and you would not know it until it’s too late or you are dead to not talk about it, and that is that. It was not normal to see what I saw,” she said.
The Dogman is a cryptid reputed to live in the northwestern quadrant of Michigan’s Lower Peninsula, although other sightings have been documented in other states, such as Wisconsin. This unproven creature was first reportedly spotted in 1887 by two lumberjacks, who described it as having a human body and a dog’s head.
In 2015, a group of three people in Michigan reportedly came across an unidentified dog-like creature in the woods of St. Clair County.
In 2014 a woman told Cryptozoology News that she had witnessed an encounter between a group of Bigfoot and Dogman creatures in what looked like some sort of symbiosis, reminding her of the “relationship between crocodiles and hippos”. She described the animals as being the size of a man with pointy ears placed on the top of their heads. Their bodies were reportedly covered in a brown patchy hair and had “human-like fingers with thick claws”. The woman also released a 17-second-long video last year of what she believed to be a “Dogman beast”.
