Dad defends ‘ridiculous’ breakfast he made for his children – and others love it

For most of us breakfast is whatever we can shove together in minimum time to ensure we get a few more precious minutes in bed before work.

That usually consists of cereal and the last of the milk, or toast if we’re feeling really inspired first thing in the morning.

It seems it’s not quite the same story if you’re the teenage daughter of a professional chef.

Australian chef and television presenter Pete Evans posted a photo of the breakfast he serves up to his two teenage daughters this week and it’s on a whole other level.

His ‘surf and turf’ creation consists of organic eggs topped with caviar, cut up grass-fed wagyu hotdogs with chilli sauce and a side of sauerkraut.

The chef added: “They also get a little fruit and coconut yoghurt and chicken broth most days before heading off for the day.

Pete’s fans were loving the creation

“Always some form of animal fat and protein in the form of land or water based animals including eggs.”

After posting a picture of the breakfast on Instagram , it left many of his fans licking their lips.

“Looks like a heaven,” said one.

A second replied: “I wish my breakfast looked like this!”

Another wrote: “Looks amazing! What do their friends think of breakfast when they have a sleepover??”
